6th (tie) - Daisies - by Lydia too

I really like this original work of art that I have imitated:
http://www.pbase.com/ctfchallenge/image/5212644

I put my own twist on it, of course.
The instructions make it sound
really easy to do... It's NOT!
Don Ellis is a master.

I think you're right, Jano. I upped it a bit. Thanks. ~Lydia

This is very well done Lydia. I must be the only one from reading other posts that I'm wondering what a little more contrast would do? But that is really my only nit pick. I'm thinking that perhaps it would give it a little boost. jano

Will you sell me a large print of this one to hang it on the wall, Lydia?

This would be a good image for someone with winter seasonal depression to stare at Lydia- screams happy. Well done.

:-)hehe
aam1234 02-Feb-2008 07:55
You are a legend Rod, but in a blown highlights way, ha ha :)
Rod 02-Feb-2008 04:42
Isa legend better than a master Sue Anne:-) I wish I was a legend:-)
sue anne02-Feb-2008 03:13
Very nicely done and yes Don Ellis is a legend. :)
Rod 02-Feb-2008 02:50
Lydia doesn't need BHs to send me through the roof Aaamm, she's bin nothing but trouble since she has been here:-) I luv it:-)
aam1234 01-Feb-2008 13:52
Wish you had blown highlights too, that will send Rod through the roof, he he :)

Wow< Rod... you people read our changes? After the fact? Hmmm... I'll have to start thinking more clearly the first time about what I put up there then. I decided that I didn't know Don's intelligence level by his photographs (never having met the man) and that really the only thing I could actually know is that he is a master of photography. Quite impressive enough. Hence the change. :) I am sorry to have awakened you so vividly with the border this morning, but... It'll grow on you. *grin* ~Lydia
Rod 01-Feb-2008 07:18
Lydia has gone border crazy she's becoming a real girl:-) This does look very bright but really it doesn't matter as it's only a copy.
I notice the comment under the original saying Don is a genius & you have downgraded him to only a master, this shot must make you a mistress then:-) Well done anyhow.
ctfchallenge01-Feb-2008 02:07
LOL, Britt. I'll be asleep then, so I won't hear him. :) I added a drop shadow, too... for good measure. *grin* ~Lydia
ctfchallenge01-Feb-2008 01:40
Wait til Rod wakes up and sees the border...lol...he will be raging. The shot is very nicely done. :) Britt

Thanks, Abstract and Doug. How about a green border? (remember a woman's prerogative... *grin* ) ~Lydia
ctfchallenge01-Feb-2008 01:20
Terrific work. I prefered the yellow border as well. I find this inspirational. -COAmature

absolutely stunning work. i think we already have a contender for the podium. btw i liked the yellow border much better than this one. photo subject is strong/bright enough to carry strong border(yellow or even white). excellent shot! -Abstract

I changed the happy border.. to one not quite so happy *wink*.. and brought the exposure down a notch.

Thanks! ~Lydia

Very nice, and so happy! I'm even ok with the happy border. :) I love that on little petal looks like he's lying on the table, while everyone else is floating. Well done! ~ Lonnit

Super.

If I were you, Lydia, I would bring the exposure down a notch. Seems too bright (for me).
ctfchallenge31-Jan-2008 19:27
Good work Lydia. I had always thought that the original was simply a work of PP magic. I didn't realize how creative of a shot this really was. I like the new spin you've put on it too, and thanks for setting the bar high. -J.V.
