Thanks Claire. And you are right, you won't believe the amount of work behind this photo. Few trips to the supermarket to get tools and such, then making everything work. I was literally sweating while taking photos.

Thanks Penny. Glad you liked it.

I love this shot. Its a very simple image (with I suspect a lot of work behind it). The light shining through and on the rind are fantastic. Gin and tonic anyone?,,,claire

This is a great copy of a very nice original photo.
Love the light shining through - you did a great job!

Juicy wasn't what I was going for here :) Thanks for the comment, Britt.

I like the backlighting on this. Makes it look very juicy.

The first one I posted was brighter but I opted for a slightly darker one here. Thanks for the interest and effort.
ctfchallenge07-Feb-2008 01:18
Aam, I played with this... trying to get it just a tad bit more 'oomph'. I raised the brightness by just under 50 and the contrast by about 15. Try it and see if you like it better. If not, nothing lost. :) ~Lydia

Cheers Lydia.

Thanks, aam. I do feel like I'm progressing... "Slow and steady wins the race..." *smile* This one might win this race! ~Lydia

Lovely picy Aaammm the highlight on the drop looks very nice.
aam1234 02-Feb-2008 07:43
JV, will look into that. Thanks

Lydia, don't sell yourself short. Seeing your entries here, you have wonderful work. Impressive I would say, too.
ctfchallenge02-Feb-2008 02:38
Looks good. On my computer, there is a lot of grain in the dark background. If you have time, you should darken it that part some more so it is evenly black. - J.V.

I did as you suggested, aam. She and I have similar styles... but she's far ahead of me... cuter, too. :) ~Lydia

Lydia, have a look at her other work, it's wonderful. You can find her galleries in her sig (at the Camel).

I wanted to do her lemon slice too, aam. Yours is lovely. Very sharp and well lit. ~Lydia
