*Very* nice silhouette, but most definitely oversharpened. Compression might add to some of that.

Nice silhouette, but the contours/artifacts surrounding the black parts spoils it a bit. Oversharpened?

Many thanks. Actually, he did pose, for about 10 minutes. We were camping, and were enjoying an after-dinner drink by the camp fire, when this bird flew into a nearby tree. I had feared he would disappear before I could get my camera out of the car.
