10th Place "deco" By Tom Doyle

Oakland, CA

I put this here rather than 'Eligible' only because it is a vertical shot.
The 800 pixel size requirement means scrolling which detracts from the impact.

Absolutely awesome assemblage of architectural art, Tom. Very well framed, wonderful juxtaposition. Couldn't be better so poo on the pp. -tv

Thanks for the comments.

John, This is along what used to be the downtown theater & shopping district. This was likely a storefront, as the old Fox Theatre is being renovated just across the street.

Good! I'm glad you moved it here. You need to go back at a different time of day, and photograph it when that antenna is gone, Tom. *wink* (I'm just making trouble. After this challenge, I'd PS that out in a heartbeat and still call it a photograph.) Well done! ~Lydia

Very nice - and the length adds to the impact.

This is a beauty Tom. Thanks for including the wicked looking crack. I'd be interested in knowing what kind of building(s) this is ... it looks like old movie theater. John

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To blue up the bit of sky in PP is not Photography, it's bleeding graphics. If Tom wanted a blue sky he could have gone back when the sky was blue. Talk about dumbing down the ahrt. Also Tom could have framed it differently if he didn't want a grey sky. Anyhow this is a very good picy Tom, well done mate:-)

OK, I caved & moved it here. Thanks Cat & Lydia.

Thanks Lonnit, it was a really gloomy day, just gray sky.

Nice shot. Too bad you're not allowed to blue-up that little wedge of sky. Great textures! ~ LOnnit

Nice, crisp, sharp and nice colors!! Tom!. I agree, this should be in the eligible.

Oh... I see your reason now... *duh* I didn't have to scroll. I recommend Eligible for this winner. ~Lydia
