John, this tractor was not originally blue. It was repainted blue by the prior owner. My Beloved intends to restore it to its original color and condition (when time falls from the sky).
In case it makes you feel better, I'll let you in on the fact that I took some front shots, too. But, they were tilted. :) ~Lydia

My father-in-law still has a 1950 Ford truck very close to this same blue. A timeless sort of blue more pronounced by the red can. This shows only the details you wanted us to see. I'm thinking I wouldn't get the results that you got since I would be shooting more from the front looking for more detail ... at least I'm not shooting from the front anymore. John

This shot initially has a "classic" quality strong in its simplicity, but then like a Cezanne painting, its instability intrudes and becomes tense. That coke can seems very precariously balanced. -tv

Way to show your colors Lydia. Nice picture too. -COAmature

Yes, RWB works nicely here. The title and suggested title works too. I am enjoying the simplicity of the photo, nothing to it and yet it has a charm.

Thanks, folks. I admit to wanting to name this "The American Classics" but didn't want to put any non-Americans off with my title. :) I took it for the red, white, and blue... ~Lydia

Ford and Coke and red/white/blue. aaah, it's so good to be in America. I think?

I didn't think of it that way, Penny, but you're certainly right about Ford and Coke being two American icons. Lydia, the colors are quite striking together.

Nice looking picy Lydia well done. Sue Anne will luv this, she's a tractor nut:-) An old Coke bottle would have gone great wiv this shot a. Still the sort of modern can does create tension wiv the ole tractor. Itsa goodun.
