garden guardian

Some welcome rain.
Last year was worst drought in 70 yrs.

Because of the dark & rainy conditions, I made the following in-camera adjustments;
an increase of sharpness, contrast, saturation & color tone.

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS
1/50s f/8.0 at 70.0mm iso800 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Looks like he's hiding and ready to pounce on something! I like "garden art" of all kinds too and he'd fit right into my yard! :-) CJ

Looks quite good and sinister too Tom- well done.

I like how you shot him sort of hiding behind the fence that is still in focus with the not so narrow DOF. -COAmature

Works wonderfully. I wouldn't mind a +2/3 exposure compensation either, but this is just fine. The comp and the expression of the creature juxtaposed with pointed tops of the picket fence (like spears) just adds more drama to it. :)

I enjoy offbeat, freaky creatures and this is a terrific setup. Very nicely executed. -tv
