Rules broken: underexposed people (wanted to create shadowy figures) Busy background, wanted it to conflict and help the couple stand out, shooting in the rain, wet camera yikes but sometimes you just have to :)

Thanks John and Lonnit for commenting. Guy was freezing, shot was a quick point and shoot to check out the lighting, girl was "hit with the silly pose bug".
LOL, you know I used to just lov ebreaking rules, but seem to be having a tough go of it now. I do know there I times I don't follow the "correct" way and love the image myself even if no one else does. Photography is after all, primarily for me. Yvonne

Funny. I see it a little differently. First I see a guy who is staring at something and bored but I don't find him boring. Then I think I see a girl it is hard to really tell. She is posing something silly. I hate posing ... probably why high fashion models put me off ... I like natural behavior even if it is rehearsed. However, if these were true silhouettes then I would have to agree with Lonnit ... guy has boring shape and girl's more interesting. But I can see their faces so I go opposite ... girl is silly and guy doesn't want to cooperate. John

Qualified. Without the male, the image would be much better; she is an interesting figure - unusual, makes a good silhouette. He is boring - he's not doing anything of interest - his body lacking interest of shape as well, with his arms tucked tightly in. So close! When you do silhouettes, the most important thing is that the shape has to be interesting. You were so right-on-track with her. You should have asked him to step out of the frame. Actually frustrates me to look at it because it was really going somewhere with her, and I'm disappointed that you didn't get the really nice shot you could have. :( ~ Lonnit
