Ahrt init

Welly Point Brissie Oz

Rule......Do not have conflicting focal points.
Bugger that rule, I wanted to show the ahrt of the vandal juxtaposed wiv the ahrt of a photographic artiiiiiiiist. So I placed the vandals work at the very bottom of the picy where it belongs & elevated me line ahrt to the top of the picy. Where they interact & counteract each other to form a whole.......I think I might be digging meself one here:-)

Thanks John, Tom & Mikey:-) John I think part of the trick to these type of picys is visualising how they will look after PP as the exposure made the ground quite grey & lifeless. (I was using the zone system) cough cough:-) Tom, I think me intimate relationship wiv the pavement comes from years of heavy drinking:-) Some graffiti you can almost admire the talent but this senseless unreadable stuff looks horrible. I thinks its a dog thing & they're marking territory.

Really interesting, well seen and captured shot, Rod. They write like that all over everything in OZ too, a? Can anybody read that stuff? "B^D) Cheers, -mikey

As always, tv says all the good stuff I totally agree with, but didn't know it till now. So uh, I like this one. Rod, you have a way with pavement.

And one more good one. You are on a roll. It just never occurs to me that these things look good until I see someone else do them. John

I don't think you believe a word you say.. but your eye is infallible. This is a beautiful exercise in depth vs flatness. First, you establish the picture plane with the graffiti art; then you tempt the eye with a receding landscape. BUT, there is not enough information to inform the brain of exactly what is happening and the result is a headache for some and artistic nervana for others. -tv
