Crossing Zebra

I found a rule that i broke! to quote:
"(BW) Solid black to solid white with a good range of grey "
i increased the contrast till the picture became Black vs white, no in-between. why? cause it looks much more dramatic this way - and the vertical stripes of the zebra contrast nicely with the horizontal stripes in the background. kool.
