My Own Box

Home

This is not a composite. I first shot the SP and printed it. I then trimmed it as required, put it in the box and set the camera just over my shoulder on my tripod. My left hand/arm is close-wrapped around in front of me with the remote shutter release. I DID use Photoshop to change the brightness of the hand to give it a more 3-D appearance.

Hm, you look a bit like 'Mc Guyver' :o)
Great concept!

Great concept Mikey reminds me of 50's sci-fi that I love. Well composed too except the lower 10% with the piece of chair that looks like a wooden spike through your arm. -tv

Thanks b.c. Cheers, -mikey

a very creative approach as an alternative to a PS composite - great! - b.c.

Thanks for all the kind words, folks. I certainly appreciate your comments.

TomD - OK, I get it now.
Sue Anne - I'm not sure what a "paranda" box is, but thanks anyway. A typo?
Doug - Its never easy to get out. If it was you wouldn't be IN the box in the first place. Think on what you don't like to do, or what you don't do well and do that ":^)
Jano - You gave me a very, very, very big smile. Thanks for that.
Rod - Thanks.

Cheers, -mikey

Excellent work.

Well set up and thought out - I like the fact that it is not a composite and that you made the effort to shoot something natural yet makes the mind wander. Very very very great! Well done :) jano

I guess we have more in common than where we live Mikey. I too feel like my head is in a box. (At least with this challenge.) -COAmature

Too cool but it looks like you opened the paranda box. :)
Guest 11-Dec-2007 22:33
The expression is fine. Kind of "why are you opening this box & bothering me" look. It's just weird because I know it's you holding the box & 'the other Mikey' inside. If we didn't know they're both you, it would loose the 'creepy'.
ctfchallenge11-Dec-2007 18:25
I guess its my week to be "creepy". I did desaturate the face and hand to try to make it less "Frankensteinish" ":^D It must be I'm not that good an actor. I'm supposed to be looking frustrated that I'm stuck in the box. Oh, well. Anyway, thanks for commenting, folks. Your comments are always appreciated. Cheers, -mikey
