I like how the light pattern transitions into the next room. This smaller crop makes a case for the the elements of color and light creating a mood where as your other makes the case for it truly is in the shower. I like this one better and am comfortable with your title implying that this is outside the shower. Now pick that clock up before some stumbles with it in the doorway at night. John

I agree with the box aspect. The uncropped version (in Exhibition) shows the box better. Rod likes it better. I like this one, for just the reasons you said. Thanks, b.c. I always enjoy reading your critiques. ~Lydia

I really like the look of this, the softness and earthy tones, and the offset composition with the clock and the all the various lines leading to it. without the title, IMO the "box" aspect isn't so obvious, at least at first - b.c.

It's all part of my plan, Rod. All for you. *grin* Enjoy your week off. ~Lydia

You're doing wonders for me marriage Lydia, I've just shown Mereana the original of this picy in Exhibition & this crop. She agrees wiv me 100% that the original is far better......Plus I don't have to cook for one whole week..............Well unless you don't change it back to the original then I might be back in the kitchen:-)

Thank you very much, TV. This one isn't PS'd (except for cropping). I aim to please! ;) Sorry about the 'lost photo'. I moved it into Exhibition since Rod and I couldn't agree on the crop. *grin*

Rod, I'll see what I can do... will caffeine work? *grin* ~Lydia

I looked in Pending but couldn't find anything... Rod needs to get to work. This is such a relief from the incredible shrinking montage. I especially like the various patterns competing in a beautiful composition. Very tricky to take a basically squared arrangement and overlay the more arbitrary light patterns for balanced tension. Lovely. -tv

Also the water on the glass looked really good on the other picy. Wait until you've had a few drinks I'm sure you will agree wiv me then:-)

Uhhh... Not sure about the winning, if that's what it takes... *grin* After seeing the shot I think most would not vote for it anyway, Rod.

Regarding your lastest comment. You like the full scene outside the shower, instead of this close-up? *sigh* I'm just gotta do the artsy thing, Rod. You won't let me PS... *smile* So, I've gotta be artistic somehow.... *heavy sigh* Perhaps I'll put the other one in Exhibition... Thanks for your comments. I do appreciate them. ~Lydia

Wot have you done Lydia? the first picy was awesome I liked it much better than this one as it had a lot more feel. Don't be naughty & bring it back.

This is really nice the soft colours & interplay of light & shadow looks wonderful. Now let me teach you something about winning a challenge photography (& how to attract the blokes vote) Set the camera up on a tripod outside the shower looking in, using the self timer you then click the shutter drop the towel & get into the shower shutting the door. Now it's very important to strike a natural in the shower type pose, so put your left hand on your hip & your right hand behind your head wiv the elbow sticking out. For myself I would vote for this original shot because it's a proper picy but you know wot the other blokes here are like:-)
Just be a bit careful with wide white borders as they can compete with the picy a bit...............Mind you a wide border wouldn't detract from me suggested alternate picy:-)

Thanks, Doug. Nothing but crop and border. For the purists. *grin* (Original uncropped version you commented on has been moved to Pending.) ~Lydia

This is more like it. Interesting and creative without obvious computer enhancement. Good one Lydia. -COAmature
