Another great entry of yours, Lydia too! Again: intelligent concept, well executed, IMO. -- db.

I don't know about this Lydia. I know you have the skills to add interest to your photos without this much PP. Then again, you did sell me on high key images. -COAmature

LOL, Rod! Yeah... he's trying to make me fat and lazy. But, not to fear, I still photograph 'real stuff'. For instance here, the composition had to be right. The lighting had to be right. The PS was added to make the plastic army men go into the 'real world' from the fake one they were in by letting the viewer imagine that they're real with the assistance of PS. It had to start off with the basics of a good photo, but now... It's aaaaahrt. :)
Thanks for being such a good sport, Rod. (and so obviously a great judge of youth and beauty in women... ha! ) I'm enjoying this discussion very much. ~Lydia

So your son created the monster:-) You should know Lydia that even though you're still young & quite lovely your son would view you as being old & decrepit. So he devised a plan to keep you from going out into the freezing cold to take picys by getting you to sit on the computer in a nice warm room & create montages. He's very thoughtful unlike my kids who keep telling me to get off me bum & go out to take more picys & I'm really old & decrepit:-)

Thank you, John. My husband had to drag me 'kicking and screaming' into the digital photography world. I was quite happy with my film camera. Then, my son dragged me into the PhotoShop world.
It's up to you regarding the new things you're willing to try. This is the perfect Challenge for thinking outside of your own box. *grin* But, I agree it's not for everyone. But, what if it's 'for you' and you don't know it (like I didn't) because you haven't tried it? *smile* I'm sure there are 30-day trials for lot of photo manipulation software. ~Lydia

Very cool look and very clever idea, Lydia. I have to settle for discovering interesting things and photographing them ... I can't make myself create interesting things (unless its electronic). John

Consider it art, Rod... Feel the tension... read the meaning... study it, Rod. *grin* ~Lydia
