Thanks to all for the suggestions. This type of work isn't really my cup of tea. I almost moved it to pending hours after I posted it but I am failing to create anything else. Very good ideas as to how I can improve on it. -Doug

Unique entry. I really like the thought and creativity put into this one. A couple minor changes would take this up to the next level: Try a little more natural pose for the bottom shot, and try to soften the light some, and maybe bring it more toward the front of the face. On the top shot, I can't tell if it is a real shadow or a photoshop creation. Leaving more detail on the wall would make it look more like a real shadow. -J.V.

Rod said it first, but we can't always come up to Rod's standard. Nice idea and execution. -tv

I see what you're saying, John. Then the straight bottom edge of the sillouette would line up with the straight top edge of the photo. Good idea. Both of you. Cute kid, too... I would have liked his face to be a bit sharper. Fun entry, for sure. ~Lydia

Nice job Doug. I think it looks fine. If you want to experiment the photoshop angle consider flipping the shadow upside down so the neck base is at the top left. This way the neck base will be at top left for shadow and bottom right for young man and the two faces will be looking at each other but at upside down orientations. This was a lot harder to describe in words than I thought. However I think the shot is competitive and creative as is. John

There you go Doug you can be just as tacky as all of us:-) This is a great idea for a dipthingy & you have made it look really good. The only thing I'm not sure about is the straight line cut off at the bottom of the shadow. I would let the rest of his body bleed into the bottom half & use a thin off white line to separate the two shots. I would possibly also look at a black border on the top shot too. Very well done mate.
