I rarely do the center-line thing, so of course you'd call me on it! LOL! I just wasn't coming up with a better composition here. ~ Lonnit

I think your previous shot fits the topic better, this shot has a centre line which your eye is drawn to. But that shouldn't detract from a well executed photo and the exposure really enhances it!

The glare was a bit stronger - I burned it down a bit. There's no going back. ;) ~ Lonnit

This is also on topic but less successful. Try kicking some leaves in along the right edtge, and maybe over that asphalt glare. Not that the glare is bad, but there is a distracting inconsistency compared to the black hole-like lower left bg. Wet asphalt is a tricky thing to shoot. I havn't had any good results myself. -tv

Hi Lonnit. Don't know if you visit the main thread or not. If you do (and read my posts) you will see my sig/moto...."It's all about light, my friend". It really is.

It only arrived here late last night, so 2 comments by morning makes it well visited, even if they're both yours! LOL! Funny how you guys like it so much. It doesn't do much for me. It was the light that was so great, that I really appreciated it. Just goes to show you how critical good light is to a photograph - great subject/crummy light, so what? Ok subject, great light, suddenly there's drama and interest. I was walking along a pathway in the woods, along a minor "cliff". The trees were dense overhead, so the light came in mostly from the side. The light was constantly changing every few seconds. I waited for it to pop in again, and snapped quickly. The irony is that this fantastic light occurred at mid-day, the worst time for outdoor photography. The trick is just having the right position for your subject. Get that sidelighting going and you've got it, literally, made in the shade! :) ~ Lonnit

Why am I the only one commenting on this beautiful photo. Is it because it's the weekend :) Anyhow, if it were my photo I would print it big and hang it on one of the walls. Excellent photo, Lonnit, especially the quality of light and the spot on exposure of it. Was it lightly cloudy that day.

Everything is beautiful about it, especially the light.
