I think that Tommy is just trying to get you to be his friend Aamm, he's got into an awful lot of trouble here lately:-) Now you have toned down that leaf it does add annoyance.....I mean tension:-)
The shot looks great mate, well done.

Did you read that Rod :) Thanks Tom.

This image is generally so well squared up with the frame and so sharp and so formal a composition that it is easy to find controversy in the plant, but it surely serves its purpose. If the plant were as crystal clear as the rest, it would absolutely work in or out, artist's choice depending on intended mood and message. As it is, the plant's blurryness provides an element of artistic rebellion, an effective putdown of "good taste". -tv

Now I feel tense:-)
aam1234 06-Oct-2007 02:35
True. And that comment of yours annoyed me :)
Rod 06-Oct-2007 00:55
My good friend Aamm there's a fine line between tension & annoyance:-)hehe
aam1234 05-Oct-2007 22:39
You forgot about something, mate. Tension!
Rod 05-Oct-2007 20:49
Yes very well done Aamm it looks very good mate. I'm not sure either way about the plant but I think if you could tone down that one bright leaf it may fit in better. Nice composition too.
aam1234 05-Oct-2007 20:10
Not only that, Tom, but looking at it again...the tree provides perspective/depth too.

Hope I don't sound like I'm pimping my entries. I'm really enjoying the opinions here. Thanks.

I like the bit of plant. Diane Arbus often had unimmportant things in the foreground/on the ground.

I like the simplicity in this shot. Well done. -COAmature

Thanks Cat, appreciate your comment. CJ, again, I think the house's color needed a "kick" to break its somewhat monotonous color, and that little green did the trick imo (it's there on purpose). Besides, it needed a little Tension ( Trade Mark, licensed to aam1234 :) )

Very nice aam - good composition, textures, lines and tones. The weed is a little distracting but this looks really good as is too. :-) CJ
