Thanks Julie! I'm often drawn to bright images and this display really caught my eye! :-) CJ

Happy shot CJ. Makes me smile. Julie

Thanks Tom and Sue Anne! :-) The handles were hanging from a rod with the price tag on it and actually detracted from the pattern so I'm pretty sure they aren't even in the original as this is barely cropped, if I remember correctly. :-D CJ

Very nice and the handles add to the pattern. (before I openned this up, I knew it was a CJ shot. ;) )

Very colorful, I like the handles included. Even the full loop might add interest.

Thanks Tom, Jano, Rod and Mikey. If anyone has a good crop of the handles, please put it in pending so I can have a look but my effort just didn't look right so I prefer this version. ;-) CJ

I will take my camera into a store. The folks usually give a funny look and I have to admit I'm a bit self-conscious about it "B^) but I haven't been kicked out so far. I also like it with the handles. It adds more interest to the shot, IMhO. Keep shooting in spite of what they/you think ";^) Cheers, -mikey

Wivout the handles there would be no tension, that would turn it into a girls shot:-)

i think in this challenge imo only that repeating patterns can be seen with the entire image portrayed, although it is tricky. This is an excellent example of that. The handles add to the repetitive pattern in this shot and enhance it. Even better may be the repetitive hooks the handles are hanging on :) but that may not have been an option. This is a cool shot CJ, and full of vibrant color. Kudos jano

Perfect example of cropping or tight framing to emphasize the pattern. I would like to see an even tighter crop without the handles. -tv

Thanks Abs and Doug! I debated about including the handles but decided that their repeating pattern didn't distract from the colorful stripes and it would make the aspect ratio more of a pano, so I kept them. :-) CJ

I like this crop. Without the handles we wouldn't know what we are looking at. -COAmature

this is cool and vibrant. i am torn between the choice of whether to crop the handles or not (considering including them does not add any background distraction).
i like it nonetheless. -Abstract

Mikey knows I take my camera when I shop, who else does! LOL! People do look at me strangely as I crouch down in aisles with my camera taking pictures of weird objects, but anything for our ART, right! :-D CJ
Rod 02-Oct-2007 06:11
Nicely composed & shot Carole this looks really good & great for the topic. I didn't recognise any of the three thumbnails as yours because they're all bang on topic:-)hehe

I took one look at this thumbnail and said, "CJ" to myself, hehe. You're style is imprinted on my brain. Nice colors. Cheers, -mikey
