This may be an example of what NOT to do? More repetition than pattern?

This would be the first shot to grace all three galleries, as it should for such a good shot:-)

You're right Rod, more reading the manual than actual picy takin though. Just left comments on some postings, trying to catch-up. Seems comments are like Christmas cards, you have to give 'em to get 'em. And I like gettin, so...

Good eye Tom - I really like the greens against the green. I would clone out the bright spot on the right and perhaps inch up a little in brightness/contrast to give it that extra push. jano

It's all been said, really great. :-)

Nicely seen and framed Tom. That one bright post is a nice feature to spice things up as Rod said.

This pic works real well for me but I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the haunted mansion feeling with the webs. -COAmature

Subdued almost monochromatic tints give this an appealingly earthy feel like several other postings so far. Almost no primary or saturated colors. What I really like about this though are the stresses between receding lines and vertical posts that want to resolve into squares but can't within the tight framing, except by skewing the lower right corner. Really extraordinary tension. -tv

Nice shot Tom! The bright blob on the lower right is slightly distracting but I like the composition and the perspective! CJ

I like the repetition of the webs too. Britt

Indeed an artiiiiiiiist.
Rod 28-Sep-2007 09:20
Gawd I missed the webs. Is this bloke an artiiiiiiiist or wot Aamm:-)
aam1234 28-Sep-2007 09:07
Good point there Rod about the bright post. Also, the web helps prevent it being monotonous.
Rod 28-Sep-2007 08:13
That's the way Aamm you tell him:-) This is of course spot on for repetitive & a really well composed shot. The one bright post on the right is just in the right place to help this shot work so well as without that highlight the fence could have seemed a bit flat. Great work Tom & well seen:-)

The theme is FOUND PATTERNS & OR REPETITIONS, so yes it must be on topic. If Rod objects let me know and I'll kick his behind :)

Seriously, this is very good photo, Tom.
