Thanks guys :-) The light was pretty special because of the time of day and the smoke from fires Tom, but of course I worked whatever I could after the fact in PP to bring things out.

The layers of light and colours are fantastic.

A standard shot in skillful hands becomes a special thing to behold and you've done it so well here it eclipses any of the hundred I've taken and most of what I've seen from others. I have to believe It's the product of effort and skill, not just dumb luck. This is a very difficult exposure but you've managed (in post processing?) the dynamic range into something that approaches the live visual magic of this sight (and site). Beautiful. -tv

Thanks CJ, it is the Grand Canyon. This was my second time there and it really is grand- you should go!

Beautiful Brent! Is this the Grand Canyon? I have yet to visit the Canyon even though we live in CA and it's not that far away! CJ

Thanks Aam :-) Forest fires near the canyon actually helped make interesting color and light here.
