Mary Anne, this was taken several years ago in a very small town. The local authorities were not as diligent about keeping people away as they are in most larger cities. (That's probably not a good thing!) The house was located on a small rise and I was down on one knee shooting slightly upward just a short distance behind these two firefighters. I used a 35mm camera with a slight wide-angle lens (35mmm f/2, if I remember correctly). Unfortunately since it was shot on 35mm Tri-X black & white film, there's no possibility of a realistic color version. Thanks for your comments ... yours, too, Rod. --- Ken
This is a wonderfull shot, Kenneth. How were you able to get so close to the action? Or did you use a long telephoto? And while I really like the b & w, I'm wondering how it looks in color. Could you post one in Pending just for comparison?
