I was going to make some rude remark about "hot" stuff until I noticed it was your daughter. Anyway, convincingly hot and earthy image. Great model. I wish mine was so cooperative. -tv

Thanks Brent and Debbi I nearly always shoot at ISO100, but I may have used ISO200 for this shot. I do not use the higher sensitivity as the S3 is prone to a lot of noise at 400 and 800. There was just a small halogen uplight used as a backlight and the camera was on a tripod, I also used the 2s timer to avoid shake! Thankfully my Daughter kept still and was patient, even though her fingers were getting hot :)

Wow, I never knew S3 could take such a great low light shot! what ISO was this? Did you use any other light? Regards, Debi

Your Daughter must have steady nerves Maurice; this turned out quite well for a long exposure. Very nicely done, and hopefully she will now sit for more shots. ~Brent

Thanks for your comments, this is the first time my Daughter has been a willing subject! She is 19 and is not keen on smoking, but borrowed her Mums cigarette to enable me to take this shot! Hopefully she will let me take more shots of her in the future!! :)

This is really good! The lighting on her face, and palm fronds creating shadows, gives quite a feel. (as someone who quit smoking last December after 20+ yrs of it, I still really like this) Has a nostalgic feel to me. She is a pretty model.
