And they ask why girls are smarter than boys :)

Aam, I do have the 100mm macro but I bought the 72mm CP and a 58mm to 72mm step-up ring so I could use the CP on more than one lens, but haven't had the time to experiment. :-( CJ

Thanks CJ and Cat, happy that you like the photo.

CJ, Just recently learned about the use of CPL in this kind of setting. The pros use it all the time it seems. If I were to guess I think a CPL was used here (not 100% sure though). A CPL for the 100 macro is in my wish list (it's 58mm if you have that lens).

Great idea using a CP for reflections aam - I never thought of that! And I've never used my new CP at all so I think I'll have to experiment with something like this too. The water drops help control the highlights too so I'll have to remember that also. CJ

Thanks Julie and Rod, glad you like it. This is an experiment in using the new studio I got. As for reflection, I used a CPL with some of the photos to control reflection and add a bit of saturation. Not sure if a CPL was used here or not though.

Having tried to photographed capsicum, I stand amazed at this great shot aam1234, as I always fail, getting bown-out white areas. The droplets work well, giving the camera something to focus on. Julie

Is this wiv your new lights Aamm? Well done mate. I agree about the background.

You hit it on the head, Neo. The lower white part is what kept me from posting this photo before.

This version is certainly more vivid than the original. I like the colors and the water drops. Have you considered turning the areas of white background black like the rest of the background? I find those lighter areas a distraction.

Thanks CJ.

You should cut the caffeine to those plants :)

Nice one aam! I guess we think a little alike except my garden is radioactive! ;-) I like the water drops as it gives texture to the peppers. CJ

Aam.. I'm at work but to bring out the colors, I used Microsoft photo editor to lighten and add contrast. You probably can do better in any other editor but I put my crude work in pending. -tv
