Barnet Newman, eh? And here I thought I was being so original taking a picture of my refrigerator and magnet! I had to look him up and was surprised at the similarity. I'm so glad you joined the forum Tom as you are a fountain of information with your art background and I am learning a lot about the art world!

Thanks Rod, I rather liked how this turned out and again, this is barely cropped as it is the image I had in my mind. I had to find some side lighting to get a shadow of the magnet and maybe I should try to darken that up a little but my PP skills are minimal :-) CJ

This has a giddy feel for me, a takeoff of Barnet Newman who used to paint a single vertical stripe near the edge of an otherwise monochromatic color field. All the color has been sucked into the magnet which is folicking around the bleached out space. -tv
