Nice one Doug. I think the grass works fine as "negative space". The textures also provide a flattening effect that enfolds the subject(s). -tv

Good sense of motion in this shot, Doug, with the lines of the hose and the direction of the spray. I had never thought of grass as negative space, but over the last few days I've begun looking at it differently. Still not certain of it, however. I guess this Challenge is proving to be a learning experience for all of us, and I'm not sure that we'll actually come to a real agreement about what constitutes negative space in photography.
