Looks like the early rise was really worth it :) 5:30!!

Not cropping can be so self rewarding. One of the first things I noticed when switching to the DSLR was the different aspect ratio. Which I really like more now.

Thanks all for your kind comments. I was a shooting fool this w/e, taking chances and using differents modes (obviously not getting off F4 in these examples though :)) Not all images turned out well, and many could be much better. This image is not cropped at all. jano

Placid and topical scene shows off the early morning light well. If this is a fair representation of the full resolution original, it looks like old, slow ASA 25 Kodachrome - rich and full ranging color. We are all envious and looking forward to more beauty from you and the 5D. -tv
