The PP and the noise reduction make for an interesting soft appearance. I like the delicate look it gives the image. CJ

This was a real delicate situation for me because I am extremely alergic to bee stings and only inches away. It was fasinating watching it gathering the pollin from flower to flower and then landing on this delicate bud to deposit the stuff. I just re-read the rules and it appears to be within the guidlines.

The shot was originally dark and I was about 10 inches from the bee. The purple flower is a holly-hock and the glimps of red is a trumpet fine. The Bee is on a holly-hock bud. On pp I used the brightness/contrast, shadow/highlight and then some lab/noise reduction technics followed by some unsharp mask and crop all within photoshop but nothing exotic or special software. Main thing was zooming, cropping and the pp described above. Thanks.

I keep coming back to this for the unusual pastel colors - kind of a relief after so much hard photographic reality. So I'm wondering what post processing you did to make it so watercolory... -tv
