This is a sign on a Building in Bath
It really does exist! Well at least the building does, hopefully not the institution. Its bizarre to think these places really served a purpose. I mean, was this some kind of corrective establishment, like an open prison for women? Or maybe simply a day school for the only female education deemed suitable by Georgian parents?
