Thanks for your comments all :-) I tried many different crops with this Mary Anne and this one seemed to place all the lines best. I guess the little bit of green show through doesn't help the image, but I think too much would be lost to crop it all out. I tried your suggestion using B/W and it looked nice, but I just couldn't resist this color- what caught my attention when I was walking the dog in the first place :-)

I love the lines in this, Brent, but the bits of green are distracting to me. Would you consider a closer/different crop? And while the yellow is gorgeous, I wonder how this shot would look in b & w.

Thanks CJ :-) Yes I think it was an Iris- a huge one. I was just walking the dog and had my camera with the wide angle lens along when I saw this flower. I would have prefered having my macro lens to use for this, but I think the wide lens worked fine for creating an abstract image.
