This one's great aam.

Not too sure about that Rod.
Rod 02-Jun-2007 09:03
Aammm get rid of the rail & you have a challenge winning shot mate. Mind you I'm on me third beer........hic:-)
aam1234 28-May-2007 15:59
Thanks Shu, glad you liked it.
ctfchallenge28-May-2007 14:45
Wonderful, painterly bokeh! I can see why you were attracted to this abstract scene! shu

Thank you Sue Anne and Maurice.
Maurice Allain27-May-2007 10:23
Great image, I like the DOF, the chaos behind a uniform shape works really well
sue anne27-May-2007 00:31
Very nice and I like the smooth DOF behind it.
aam1234 26-May-2007 14:37
The bokeh is what attracted me in this photo.

Cheers mate.
Paul 26-May-2007 10:38
It's obvious what it is so i don't know if abstract fits but i really like it as a photo anyway with the bokeh appearing as heat vapour coming off the handrail. Crop out the handrail and it wouldn't half be abstract!
aam1234 26-May-2007 08:32
Thanks Rod. I'll try to re-shoot it.
Rod 26-May-2007 01:01
Yes this looks a lot better for abstract but I would have a go at re shooting if possible to get rid of the square crop which I don't think suits this version. The first shot looked much better except for too much hand rail in the shot. Nicely done Aammm:-)
aam1234 25-May-2007 23:44
Crazy bokeh indeed. Add to that the DOF one can play with.

Magical lens.
Brent 25-May-2007 23:31
Very nice Aam, that new lens of yours sure puts out some crazy bokeh!
aam1234 25-May-2007 20:43
And to continue with your thought, tv...the blurred background looks like a face, with eyes and mouth.

This is turning into a Greek mythology :) We have good imagination or what.
ctfchallenge25-May-2007 20:22
This really works now. It's so difficult to balance two such different elements but I think you found a level that generates real tension. The iron thing is an intruder into the realm of peaceful pastels, whose apparent darker forces from the lower left are being marshalled to curl the iron rod into a ball. -tv

Michael, I really like this one a lot better. Thank you for the suggestion.

Thanks, CJ. This lens has an amazing bokeh.
ctfchallenge25-May-2007 19:03
Very pretty swirl aam with interesting background blur and I agree a crop on the right would make it even more abstract. Good One! CJ
aam1234 25-May-2007 16:03
That's a very good suggestion Mikey. I'll crop it and see, if it doesn't work I'll re-shoot it.

Thanks
ctfchallenge25-May-2007 15:30
Beautiful bokeh, aam. I think it would be more abstract if instead of an obvious handrail, you would crop the slanted portion, or even the upright too, leaving the spiral. That would also put the spiral off to a third location instead of centered. Regards, -mikey
aam1234 25-May-2007 06:23
Thanks Doug.
ctfchallenge24-May-2007 23:40
And the ball is rolling. Very narrow DOF does make it abstract. -COAmature
