This the one Mary Anne, so you can stop now. Excellent enhancements. -tv

At first I thought this was far better but after having another look in Pending the ally way is more of a feature than it is in this shot. But I think I like this vertical better as I like the addition of more power lines which suits this shot a lot. I think the brightness of the sky stops us exploring the ally as we did in the other shot so I would try toning down the brightness in the sky to see if the ally becomes more prominent. If nothing else is done I still prefer this one. Nicely done:-)

Here's a version with a more vertical orientation, as Rod suggested. The original version is here: http://www.pbase.com/ctfchallenge/image/78851661

Well, I thought I was uploading a different version, but I've tried 3 times and the new image doesn't show up. Maybe later.

Tommy, this was shot on a VERY bright morning, and the alleyway is practically black in the original. It took a bit of PP to bring out the details and colors.
Rod, I've tried this cropped a number of different ways, so I'm substituting a different one. The original is in Pending. Let me know what you think.

Dark alley is foreboding even in daytime. Good decision to expose for the highlights, which offer an exit in the distance.

Nicely done Mary Anne I think it might work better as a vertical but it still looks good like this.
