I got the same shot; same hazy distances; same colors; same shadowless day. Come to think of it, even the same tourists. Hmmm. Actually I tried every way to cut out the tourists - my family among them - to create a more timeless shot. You were smarter and left the tourists in. They are effective for comparitive scale so the Canyon looks more impressive. -tv

Rod, this is Waimea Canyon on the island of Kauai, Hawaii ... but Mark Twain once described it as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific." Some scenes for the movie "Jurassic Park" were filmed in this canyon.
