This is two separate images, merged together. I shot my hands indoors with a tripod and timer. It took a few attempts to get the layers in the right place so I had the image I wanted inside the hands.

Yes, whimsical is indeed the perfect adjective here! There is a surrealness to this image that is quite compelling. It could have been so cheesy and amateur, but you've broken the rules well to assure intention over error. There is a true artistic value to this image and I'm very impressed with it. Excellent work!
