Nice crisp shot! Good job on the filtered light in the tree branches.

Thanks Carole:-) yes that light bit is just catching the sun, maybe I should burn it in.

Wonderful shot Rod, very striking! The tree may be a little dark considering the sun is shining on it but it does make for a more dramatic contrast with the lighthouse. The white line going down the right side of the lighthouse is a little distracting - it looks like over sharpening even though I know it isn't. Great shot anyway, and nicely framed! CJ

Thanks all:-) The lighthouse was so bright it allowed me to darken the whole shot, I then had to dodge (lighten) the tree to bring it back up which maybe helps with the sort of 3d effect. I think this was in that really nice early morning light.

Stunning shot Rod....
I love the tones and the general lighting.

3D indeed. love the lighting, composition, and the contrast between the tree & the lighthouse.

I'm with RK for the same reasons- great looking shot Rod.

Rod, looks like you have mastered bw conversion. Like this one the best of your three entries. The tree looks almost 3d with side lighting.
