Sorry about the delay in replying. I guess the noise is because I cropped the image too much, I actually shoot in P mode with occasional forays into Manual,

i agree about the "sadness" vibes the subject gives. btw the image looks too "noisy" for a day-time photograph. were you in "Auto" mode? "P" is a good learning mode and then you will soon realize that you almost always want to shoot in Av mode. also another simple thumbrule i follow for outdoor/street portraits is, "avoid any immediate background surface/subject behind the main subject." good luck. -Abstract

There is something very sad about this woman and you have caught it very well. You have a good exposure here and wonderful color. You might try a crop into her right shoulder to try and get her out of the center of the composition. Having the subject off-center tends to make images more dynamic. ~Sharon
