Wonderful portrait and a another take on isolate. The infocus area of the head is very large within the frame. The isolation works as the black/grey fur blurs into the full black background.

Its a very clear shot init at first I thought it was a dreaded partial desat but there looks to be some colour around the outer edges of the dog. Is your dog as B&W as this? Nicely done if it's not a desat:-)
