i understand the reason for having dark/black negative space at the bottom but i agree with Rod. that feeling would be conveyed even after cropping a little from the bottom. an excellent take on the topic and nice b&w conversion. brick structures always make very good subjects for a BW image. -Abstract

That looks better Blade, I'm not too sure about the almost square look of this as it diminishes the focal point, I like it when I crop top or bottom on screen to make it look like the normal aspect ratio we get out of the camera. Whatever that is:-)

Oops! Sorry Blade! I'll pay better attention next time. Let me introduce you to Markjay - he's right next to you here in the gallery! ;-) CJ

Rod, it wasn't my intention but I was handheld with the lens wide open, and focus was an issue. Anyways, I tried to fix it. CJ who is Mark? my name is blade.

This really gives the feeling of isolation, very nice photo. - Henry

Good isolation of the person shown here Mark - a sad image to me, but maybe he was just waiting for a ride? CJ.

Was it intentional to have your DOF on the nearest two brick columns & not where the subject is Blade?
