Hawaii

Here in Hawaii locals believe Hawaiian Ti leaves
placed around their campsites will ward off bad spirits in the area
and keep them safe. This was on our last fishing expedition.

I also thought it was growing out of the lava. I wonder if a little more saturation, just with the "green" channel would also help. I'm sure it kept away the "evil spirits", but did it help you catch any fish? :) - Henry

Interesting folklore Chad and nice shot. It might benefit from a little more contrast and USM to make the leaf stand out a little more. I like the shadow on the lava too. CJ

Very interesting shot and thanks for the background info Chad.
At first I thought it was a plant growing out of the cooled lava.
