Really nice, Leung. I have a soft spot for lighthouse pictures.

As for suggestions, how about darkening it a bit to reveal more details on the white part. Just a note, my monitor is not calibrated so what I'm seeing could be different than what everybody else is seeing.

thanks, guys. I re-cropped the image, sharpen more, and increased the contrast. Anything else I need to do?

I started to take picture in raw format. it seems alot more flexible. I really like that 17-85 lens. It pretty much stays on the camera. I am saving up to get another one, any suggestions? I have a Tamron 28-200 that was on my regular Rebel.

I agree with CJ & Jamdiver's comments. I have a question. Is the lighthouse tilted or is it an "optical illusion"? Also, it would help if the original size of the image were less than 875 pixels high, I need to scroll to see the whole image, or reduce it's size. - Henry

Nice Lighthouse Hollween. A little crop on the bottom up to the fence and cropping out the bits of white "whatever" on the left would look nice and as Jammy said, a little more contrast and USM would make the lighthouse stand out more. Good shot! CJ

Beautiful lighthouse, love the paint scheme and composition here.
It looks a little 'soft' though, did you sharpen this?

Btw, how do you like the 17-55 f/2.8 lens?
