Thanks all for the comments and constructive criticism. I've gone for the crop and agree it does make for a better composition. I did a bit of cloning on the top right hand corner to soften the hard white of the sky which was very distracting. James

Nice one James! I agree with Henry that a crop would really bring the focus on to the cross. Nice textures and color in the stone and cross. CJ

I've liked this shot since it was posted! The only minor problem I have with it, are the tree branches above the larger stone. If the photo was cropped about 1/2 way between to top of the Iron Cross, and where it is now, it would remove most of what I find distracting, just my opinion. - Henry
