Could work I guess.
Rod 05-Mar-2007 07:24
Aammm I have a great idea! How about putting the wrapper in the empty chocy square......Brilliant a:-)
Rod 03-Mar-2007 14:57
I have to disagree wiv young bret as well.I think he's after some of Aamms chocy.
ctfchallenge03-Mar-2007 05:36
Gee, Brettpm, I think I have to disagree with you. I think they ALL (so far) fit the description of this challenge. - Henry

Of the eight photo's posted so far, this one seems like the ONLY one on topic...
Nice work Aam.

It worked Aammm, well two cups of coffee actually:-) The coffee told me that if you got rid of the wrapper & just took a chocy square out of the box so we would see one empty square then we would see a break in the pattern...................No its OK mate......no need to thank me:-)
aam1234 02-Mar-2007 23:11
Maybe you need to switch to coffee ;)
Rod 02-Mar-2007 21:07
There's always fuzzy lines as to wots on topic & I'm trying to clear my mind from what is a normal focal point shot & this topic. I think for RKs view that "to isolate is to break the pattern" then this would have worked If just one of the squares were turned around then that would be breaking the pattern. I have to use logic to assume this wrapper was a part of the pattern before you unwrapped & folded it. In photography we have to present to the viewer the point we're trying to present, it's hard enough to get someone to look at a picy let alone expecting them to start using logic & powers of deduction init:-)
So I can see the pattern in the background but I can't see the wrapper as a part of that pattern unless I sit down wiv a cuppa tea & think about it.......................I just did that & this still doesn't work right:-)

Thanks, Mary Anne.

Good one, Aam. And it looks perfectly on-topic to me.

According to RK, isolation could be done many ways not just through DOF. At least that's how I understood it.
Rod 02-Mar-2007 12:21
I like the look of the used wrapper but I can't see that it's isolated from the background. Most any picy has a focal point as the wrapper is in this shot, & passed as OK by RK:-)
So will any shot wiv a focal point be on topic?
aam1234 02-Mar-2007 07:34
Thanks RK and Henry.

Good capture annd interesting take on the challenge. - Henry

Good one Aam. One way to isolate is to break the pattern and sure is a tempting pattern. Like the deep rich chocolate color.
