Thanks Techo, and thanks for the idea Bill. I'll have to try it - after I buy more blueberries! CJ

What if you were to crush one a bit so that juice was coming out?

Great job CJ. Blueberries where on my list of the things to photograph for the challenge and I really how your shot came out. I really like the composition and the detail you captured. The texture of the berry really is nice.

Thanks Sue Anne, Lee, Jammy, Brent and Bill. They did turn out rather massive looking didn't they? I'm experimenting with bouncing the flash off walls and white cardstock set at different angles when natural light isn't good so was happy with how this turned out. CJ

To think these are blue berries--they look massive.
Brent 25-Feb-2007 18:30
Very nice CJ, they almost look like they are made out of weathered bronze to me. Great work!

Thanks Rod. I usually like shots of plants and animals too but also like to experiment with catalogue type shots as others here have done. Who knows, maybe I'll try my hand at stock images? ;-) CJ

This is great Carole I really like the look of this. I don't know why but most shots like your first two have no appeal for me as they seem to just look like catalogue sort of shots we get in the junk mail. Yet this shot of the fruit has character & feel which is really essential for a proper picy when we can capture it:-) The composition looks really good too.
Why don't you try some shots of cut fruit & play wiv the look of the flesh in different lighting then you can bugger off the other two catalogue shots. Mind you they can do well in the voting though as they have WOW NICE COLOUR:-)hehe
