Well Rod would say that you need to think of the background for any picy when you take the shot:-) but give it a go in PS & we can tell you if its improved the shot or made it yuck:-)

Thanks Sue Anne! Gerberas are also know as Transvaal daisies and are members of the Sunflower family. They come in a wide variety of colors and are used in floral arrangements a lot. This one was in a planter box on my neighbor's deck and the background is actually the deck we were standing on. Because I was using the 70-300 zoom lens close to the flower and the lens at 300mm, it produced the smooth look to the background. I was thinking of changing the color of the BG though - what do you think? CJ
