In my minds eye I can see the fingernail painted with the exact color of the foiled kiss.... I like it.

I like the pop of red.

Nicely shot CJ, looks like the flash worked well for you. I don't use a tripod all that much myself, it's a lot to drag around and sometimes limits your experimentation with framing- plus I'm kind of lazy ;-)
Rod 08-Feb-2007 19:51
I bet Carole's tripod is still under the tree unopened, she only opened her flash last week. Wot if there's an L lens still sitting there waiting to be opened. Her hubby spoils her:-)

No tripod CJ? jano

Thanks Jano, Sue Anne and Y, and no worries Rod, I'm not a big fan of partial desats myself but this picture seemed to need it. ;-)
Sue Anne, I did hold the camera with one hand as I was shooting with the 50mm and needed to get up fairly close. The camera was a bit heavy and awkward with that big flash attachment too! CJ

I get the sense that this little kiss is being plucked from somewhere.... I like the comp and the focus is on the thumb. Partial sat works for me here. jano

Well done on your first flash shot Carole & lets hope it's your last partial desat:-)

Very nice and I like how you pp this. (now how did you shoot this - with the other hand?)

Thanks Rich and Bill!
I tried to make the shape a little more "kiss"-like Bill - what do you think? CJ

I think you did a good job of partial desat and it works for this image. Rich

I like the color add in, but the shape of the wrapped candy kiss is not recognizable enough.

Oh yeah, I like it! Perfect for Valentine's day!

I've never done a partial desat but thought it might work for this one. What do you think? I wasn't happy with the full color version as the skin tones were't coming out the way I wanted. And yes Rod, this is my first picture using bounce flash with the 430EX! ;-) CJ

This is so gentle and sweet. Sweet in a couple ways! It is nicely exposed CJ. what color is the wrapper? Is it worth a color shot?
Rod 07-Feb-2007 08:09
Nicely done it works well, I like the hand in B&W but wonder wot it would look like in colour because of the lolly wrapper. Did you use your flash on this shot Carole? ...............show off:-)
