Great image overall CJ. I'm not sure what changes you made, but the shoulder looks only just a tad bright to me at this point. Was this shot with the 50mm 1.8 lens? My copy didn't work all that well for me unfortunately, but I did read reviews that it will tend to be soft wide open usually. This looks a little soft to me, but maybe that was the look you were going for here?

Thanks Rod and Aam. The neckless never comes off - it was a gift! ;-) CJ

Yes it does look better.

That's a lot better for me Carole it looks more like the thumbnail did now. The necklace doesn't bother me at all. Besides when the dressing gown comes off you need to be wearing something a:-)

I tried to tone down the brighter area a little without changing the overall color. I also tried a B&W version but preferred the color contrasts here. Also tried a closer crop but it felt a little crowded. I guess this will have to do until I reshoot, if I have time. Thanks for the suggestions! CJ

Great shot CJ. The necklace doesn't bother me so much and i think it really adds to the elegance of the mood here. The shoulder does seem overly bright and I would define that has "overly harsh" lighting. I would suggest, if you cannot reproduce this w/o the harshness, that you perhaps could convert to b&w as that would be pretty and very elegant. jano

Thanks everyone! I'm sure I can darken the brighter part of the shoulder but I'm not that great at cloning such a long line but I'll try it. I thought about a tighter crop but was thinking of keeping the shoulder on a thirds line, but I'll see what it looks like. Thanks again for the suggestions! CJ

Great idea, well composed, very nice lines. If I was to nitpick I would suggest you to clone out the necklace, darken the pic a bit, and cropped just a little tighter from the left. A very nice image as is, though.

I love the simplicity of this shot. It tells no tale, it begs no questions; it just “is.” One might ask the nature of the occasion, and whether she is going out or returning home, but one doesn’t need to know the answers to simply enjoy the shot.

I really like the lines here CJ. Really nicely done.

If you make it a bit darker it might work better, me think.

Thanks Rod, I'll see what I can do. This is actually brighter than the original but I'll try a re-edit but may reshoot it or just send it to pending. CJ

This is well thought out Carole I really like the lines of shoulder & dressing gown. I also like the warm light of the right 2/3rds of the shoulder but the far left looks just a bit too bright for the mood. The lighting looks great in thumbnail but the brightness seemed to want my eye too much in full size. Very well done megirl:-).
