Thanks all :-) Well the line to take the elevator up the Eiffel was huge during the winter break, so I made due with just taking a picture up it. It would have been nice to go to the top again, but I did that once before in the 80's anyway.
That cone you see in the center is what they light up in blue at night and it actually hangs below a bit loosely and sways slightly in the wind.

This is a superb pic. I am due to go to Paris in the next couple of weeks and hope that I can find an hour or so to have a go at getting this shot.
