Wait, Rod.....
this subject isn't EXACTLY centered yet, not a word from you on that point
on this image :-) What happened? A few beers have you seeing double now?
he he.
Now: great shot Christina! I really like the color, the out of focus background and the interesting shape and position your subject is in.

Then maybe you should carry something like a white paper or a bit of cotton sheet to shade the subject, of course only works for close ups.....
Yeah, that's what I generally do, but with bright sun and dappled shade it doesn't always work...

I don't think we can PP BHs away Christina, the trick is to underexpose in the camera to stop the highlights blowing & bring the rest of the shot up in PP:-)
Thanks girls. Yeah, I see what you mean about the BHs. There was actually a little breeze that day and I have several shots where this little guy is swinging around and so not in focus at all. I don't think a tripod would help... I have never been successful in PP at getting rid of BHs, so I'm just going to leave them for now. If I had more time, and if it were 4 months later I might go out looking for it again, but oh well.... Thanks though for the nit pick. I do appreciate it a lot!
Another eye catching shot. Nit pic would be I think the ligting is a little too harsh in spots. Definitely worth experimenting with as I love these focus shots of nature. They are tough to take though as usually there is a slight breeze, possibility for cam shake (unless you use a tripod), and I think this is definitely well done. Background dof is wonderful. jano
