Thanks everyone! I really liked the Buddah when I saw but was not sure if it fit the topic well enough. Unfortunately RK, this is not cropped so if I get a chance to take another shot of this with the chin, I'll replace this version. And sorry Rod - it stays - your tactics have been exposed! ;-) CJ

WOW! I really like this CJ.
Love the lighting of this and the various reflections...very abstract for a portrait.
Just one nitpick...like to see more of the chin.

Bugger I've bin sprung:-)
ctfchallenge12-Jan-2007 15:02
Carole, I think it qualifies, leave it here! Yvonne (you have to watch Rod, he will try to get us to move good ones to pending!)
Rod 12-Jan-2007 12:57
I don't think the problem is just the monitors Carole as I couldn't make out at first wot I was looking at & then it seemed to lock in as a face. Every time I have opened it since the face is really obvious so it was one just of those illusions first up. Put the bugger in pending you can do far better than this:-)

I vote for leave it here. It's an interesting take on the subject. For the record I couldn't tell what it was on my CRT monitor at work but it looks quite nice at home on my color calibrated LCD. --Doug (COAmature)

I was surprised too, and I'm using a laptop monitor.
ctfchallenge11-Jan-2007 19:51
I was surprised to read that some of you can't make out the features as they are so obvious on my monitor. This may be another instance of differences in tilted screens and lighting and what each of us really sees in the images we are looking at. I'm still unsure of how on-topic this is but I'll leave it for now. ;-) CJ

Don't move it to pending CJ, this is really nice.

I just made out the features! Now that I can see it, nicely done CJ :) jano

I don't know where sad came from but if Techo said that sad is ok then sad as an emotion is a stretch from darkness. Plus this Buddah must have tear ducts in his forehead:-)
ctfchallenge11-Jan-2007 02:40
I see sadness here too, lots of tears, and thats a dark place. Rich

There is a sense of sadness in the pic. It does fit the challenge theme alright. Only thing is it wasn't easy to make out the features a first.

LOL! I didn't really think this was on-topic put I happened to come across it and liked it. It will go to pending as soon as I find something else! ;-) CJ

What do you mean Rod, this looks on topic to me, and good one at that too.
Rod 10-Jan-2007 09:16
Now wot can I say so I don't upset you, .........erm....wot did you have for dinner:-)
