When I took this shot I didn't have the challenge in mind.
But after a quick look decided that it would work here..

Hey jano, I took this shot with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens :).
I highly recommend this lens in every photographer's arsenal.
There's also the 50mm f/1.4, which is better constructed and focuses faster I think.

But is more pricy.

This chandelier looks like it could have been found on the Titanic. It really says darkness in my mind.

Great little lens isn't it Jammy! I like the composition of this and that nice shallow DOF. I don't know about it portraying darkness for some, but it does for me as lights banish the darkness, and I really like it! CJ
