You must have some weird friends Gary, all my friends would cheer when me projector bulb blew. The worst thing I did was to have a spare bulb from then on, but doing that I ended up wiv no friends:-)

Actually this does say darkness to me but not in the literal sense. I home from vacation, I have my slide film back from the developer. My friends are gathered to watch the slide show, popcorn and beer are handy. Turn on the projector and pop. A bright supernova flash and bulb is history. Disappointed friends, a trip to order bulbs and wait a few weeks. It's dark and disappointing. It's also technically very nice.

Very creative idea that doesn't quite suggest enough darkness to me either. Techo may be on to some good ideas for a reshoot if you can make the time. Possibly a dimmer picture overall with a tiny led light, etc. barely exposing the burned element would suggest darkness more?

I think the idea is very creative and an interesting interpretation. You can try to work on the presentation of it. Try it against a dark background with two lights, one coming in straight from each side or one to the side and one below. You cantry to diffuse the light with a piece of paper or white fabric so the relections on the glass bulb will be more appealing. Using a darker bk, the dark spots wont be as noticable but I think more focus then will go to the broken inner coil, which has an interesting texture.

You know how I hate to agree with Rod but this doesn't say darkness to me either. :-( Nice clear shot though! CJ

Nicely shot Co but it doesn't say darkness to me mate. If this bulb was in your car & you took a shot at night wiv the lights piercing through the darkness you would have a challenge winning shot:-)
