I don't find the box a distraction at all, but merely a great dof to add to the photo ... what I would do is crop the very top highlights as that is the most distracting to me. With that done, I think you have a excellent photo here. jano

Good discussion.

Today I took lots of family pics, and as always, there is part of someone on the side of the person I was photographing. Could easily crop out that someone but I like them being there, they give the photo a different meaning/feel to it. That's me though, other people might have different opinion of course.

one can always clone out minor distractions but i was hinting for a reshoot, if possible.
for me personally, the dof adds enough interest to make the shot feel not static. -Abtract

Thanks for your kind words aam! Unfortunately I can't participate on a regular basis... lack of time ;-)

I see Abstract's point, but personally I don't mind that box. As a matter of fact I think it adds to the feel of the photo, without it the subject(s) might appear a bit static. Just my opinion of course.

Good work jonny, and glad to see your photos here, and hope to see more in the future.

You are right Abstract with the box. But I have no clue how to do that ;-)

i like this one, Jonny. very nice subjects and equally good dof, lighting and details. i wonder if you can get rid of that box (distraction) from the background though. -Abstract
