Well it gives off a very good light as flash shadows look a bit yucky. Hope your Mum has a good rest while she is with you, say Gday to her from us down under:-)

We had a fun evening Rod, just close friends for dinner and it was fun to have my Mom (back center) up to spend Christmas with us this year. Well, we can talk camera tech a little- I used one of the riduculously expensive (for a piece of plastic) called a Gary Fong Lightspere on my 420EX. I just got the thing and need to get the hang of it, but it seems to work pretty well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!

I luv shots like this as I find them really interesting to see the surroundings. This looks really cosy & a great place to come to & relax (my speciality).
I don't want to talk photography in our Chrissy gallery but how did you use the flash & not get flash shadows?
